blissful ignorance?

ignorant

Wow! Weren’t Sunday’s ministry reports encouraging!?! I came away with a deep sense of joy and gratitude for all that God is doing in and through us. What a thrill to hear your stories! It really is true—Sunday at 11:00 is only the tip of the iceberg of everything going on at Woodland Hills.

What’s ahead for us? I don’t know, but here’s how I’m praying. Lord, please give us even more of Your grace! Enable us for still greater impact in our areas of influence with family, neighbors, and co-workers.

But there’s a problem. It’s the enemy. He’s not at all pleased. 2 Corinthians reminds us to be on our guard—”in order that no advantage be taken of us by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his schemes.” 1

This warning got me to wondering. Are we mindful of schemes he might try to use against us here at Woodland Hills? What are some ways he might try to get at us? One in particular, Paul seems to say, is unforgiveness.2

Friends, let’s allow him no occasion against us whatsoever. Purpose to keep short accounts with God and with others so he has absolutely no foothold! For we are not ignorant of his schemes!

1 2 Corinthians 2:11
2 2 Corinthians 2:10
