Have you ever noticed how often the word “new” is used in advertising and promotional material? It’s a hands-down favorite of marketing professionals. And it works! It gets our attention!
There is something about new that appeals to us. I think the Lord must have wired us that way.
- ?The psalms often exhort us, Sing a new song to the Lord!
- The new moon marks our calendars.
- New wine and new wineskins are recurring themes in the Bible.
- A new name is promised every Christ-follower.
- New heavens and a new earth are coming!
This Sunday we begin a new series at 9:30am called Experiencing God. During our worship service at 10:45 our study will take us to Acts chapter two, and guess what! Once again God is “doing something new”! And this new thing is absolutely incredible. Downright shocking, in fact. Marvelously, it continues new to this day!
