Blindness

Blindness

Dear Woodland Hills Family,
The other day I was praying for some who do not yet know the Lord–they’re still lost and groping about in spiritual darkness.  While praying, I believe the Holy Spirit directed my mind to the instance when scales fell from the eyes of now-converted Paul after Ananias prayed for him (Acts 9:17).
What a tangible illustration the Lord gave Paul as both his physical and spiritual blindness were taken away!
Using this Scripture, then, I continued in prayer for the same people I had been praying for:  “Lord, take away their blindness-cause the scales of their spiritual blindness to fall off.”
I find so much more confidence, energy, and endurance when I pray according to the Scriptures.  Don’t you?
No doubt many of you also use the Scriptures to pray for the conversion of those who don’t yet know Jesus personally.  Would you please send me those Scriptures you use to pray for others’ salvation?  If you’ll do that I will compile a list of Scripture prayers for the lost and distribute that resource for all our benefit in an upcoming enews. Why?  So that these who don’t yet know the Savior may soon come to “glorify your Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
Blessings,
