The late Johnny Miller once said, “Love can be measured by the sacrifice it stands ready to make.”

I can imagine a time in Heaven when the Son was just moments away from embarking to earth to be born in a manger. In my mind I see Him with His Father contemplating one last time the sacrifice that He and His Father stood ready to make. Then I picture Jesus nodding to His Father: “Yes, I love them that much.”

The great Christie Lomas once said, “Presentation without demonstration is just conversation. That’s why ‘God demonstrated His love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.’” ^{Romans 5:8}
