Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord!

Anticipation is growing for our last worship service of 2023! It will be another Word & Worship service. (You may remember several times in 2023 when we devoted the entire service to reading and worshiping our way through a book of the Bible, such as Ephesians.) That’s what we’re planning for this Sunday, only this time it will be Word & Worship in the Psalms. (Don’t worry, we won’t be trying to read through the entire book of Psalms!) Here’s a basic sketch of the service to whet your appetite:

  1. We’ll begin by reading and singing some of the praise & adoration Psalms.
  2. Then we’ll dive into Psalm 119, with its emphasis on the Word of God. And we’ll sing too!
  3. For our communion time we’ll give our attention to some of the Messianic psalms.
  4. And finally we’ll turn to Psalm 107: Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His lovingkindness is everlasting. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so! And this will be our opportunity for sharing testimonies of God’s love, mercy, kindness, provision, deliverance, and so on.

I think you’ll be enriched! I look forward to worshiping the Lord with you!
